Welcome…
Eco SoCo is run by a brilliant bunch of local volunteers, all passionate about making our village greener and bursting with life. We’re a friendly, open-minded crew, always up for teaming up with others to shake things up and do some good. Fancy joining in? Our Repair Cafe and Community Vegetable Garden are always buzzing at Springwater Church—pop by and see what’s happening!
Our Mission – the adventure ahead: We’re all about building strong bonds with our neighbours and tackling the big stuff like climate change and biodiversity loss—one action at a time. By working together, we’re making our local wildlife thrive and boosting everyone’s mood and health in the process.
There are loads of ways you can get stuck in! Whether you love planting wildflowers for the bees, watering new trees, lending a hand at the Repair Cafe, or just fancy popping along to a meeting to share your thoughts, we’d love to meet you.
Come say hello—let’s make a difference, have fun, and keep our village and wildlife blooming!

Dark Skies Talk (FREE)
Dark Skies coming to a village near you…
Join us on June 9th @ 7 pm Sonning Common Village Hall for an inspiring talk on how we can address light pollution and reclaim the beauty of the night sky! Light pollution robs us of the wonder of starlit nights and negatively impacts nocturnal wildlife, including moths, bats, birds, and pollinators. These disruptions have cascading effects on ecosystems.
Professor Richard Harding, a research scientist, environmentalist, and a former branch chair of CPRE Oxfordshire, will share his insights and practical tips on reducing light pollution to help restore balance to nature.Email: ecosocotalks@gmail.com to reserve your seat ***tickets to this event are free of charge but you still need to book as numbers are restricted**
